Money for Life is delivered by UK Youth, in partnership with The Mix, and funded by Lloyds Banking Group.
UK Youth is a leading national charity who, via their member networks and partners, deliver a wide range of informal educational opportunities for young people aged 9-25 years living in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Through their network of grassroots youth organisations and national partners, they support over 700,000 young people across their social development journey from social engagement and learning to social action and leadership to empower them with the vital life skills needed to reach their potential and be a positive force for change.
Throughout the Money for Life programme, UK Youth is partnering with Youth Scotland, Youth Cymru, Youth Action Northern Ireland, Youth Federation and over 150 youth organisations to deliver Money Masterclasses across the UK. Delivered by peer educators, called Money Champions, alongside youth workers, the programme will build practical money skills and confidence to empower thousands of young people to make the most of their money and feel financially capable.
Money for Life is one of several flagship programmes which contribute to Lloyds Banking Group’s ambition to help Britain prosper – focusing on the social and economic issues which the group is best placed to help address.
From 2010 to 2015, Lloyds Banking Group’s previous Money for Life programme comprised of two key elements: a challenge, which offered a thousand £500 grants to help young people understand money management, and a set of qualifications (delivered to 4,000 people), helping those who help others understand how to provide money management education.
