Accessibility

Money for Life has tried to build a website that is easy to use and accessible for all users.

You can access this site’s information with assistive technology such as JAWS (Job Access With Speech), NVDA (Non Visual Desktop Access), ZoomText, and Dragon Naturally Speaking. You can use this technology with screen magnifiers and your operating system’s speech recognition software.

Money for Life is committed to achieving level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, independently accredited by our partners Shaw Trust Website Accessibility Accreditation Service. If you need any further help using computers or assistive technology visit BBC MY Web, My Way for useful information on using the web.

Changing font size

You may be able to change the font size in your browser.

Changing the colours

We’ve tried to use colours that make our website easy to read. If you have any problems you can choose your own colours with your browser.

Videos

All of our video content that is embedded on this site or on our YouTube channel is available to watch with optional subtitles. We use YouTube as it’s the most accessible way to present videos online, however we can’t control the accessibility of YouTube video functionality.

Social media content and third-party components

Across the website we display content pulled in from social media sites. These sites can restrict the ways in which the content can be displayed and can appear less accessible than we would prefer. Components such as Google Translate also restrict accessibility. These are elements out of our control but we will do our utmost to improve accessibility where possible.

PDF accessibility

We try to ensure that all documents on our websites are fully accessible for all users, but due to complexity and volume of the content, this is not always possible. However, we endeavour to improve this process by enriching the content with PDF tags. If it is not possible or reasonable to do this (for example, if the PDF is currently created via server-side scripts, or created by a third-party), we will include an alternative .txt or .rtf format.

Visual design

Money for Life uses cascading style sheets for visual layout. If your browser does not support style sheets the content is designed to still be readable.

If you have any problems

We have endeavoured to make our website as accessible as possible but if you are having problems with any page please email us at info@themix.org.uk.
